At Upward Farm, our microgreens are grown year-round to provide restaurants, community kitchens, schools, and local organizations with fresh, nutrient-dense ingredients harvested just hours before delivery. Every tray supports a more resilient local food system, reducing food miles while increasing access to fresh, high-quality produce across Nova Scotia.

MICRO GREENS
MAJOR IMPACT

ROOTED IN PURPOSE
Our greens are grown locally, so they last longer, taste better, and never show up half-dead from a cross-country journey. But beyond that, every purchase helps prove that a community-powered food system actually works.
The more we grow here, the more we can feed school breakfast programs, create employment, and show that local, dignified food access is possible at scale.
Small greens. Real roots. Serious impact.
IN KITCHENS
We work alongside chefs who care deeply about where their ingredients come from. By harvesting locally and delivering directly, our microgreens arrive fresher, last longer in the kitchen, and retain the flavour and texture that chefs rely on. It's a simple example of what happens when food is grown close to the people who use it.

Limited Partnerships
We grow a limited volume of microgreens each week and work with a small number of restaurant partners at a time. This isn’t about scale. It’s about quality, consistency, and relationships. When space opens, we invite a new kitchen into the circle.
